BHNFC APPOINT 2009 SENIOR COACH
Oct 30th 8:53AMBox Hill North Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Hood as Senior Coach for season 2009.
Mark has become a well known and respected figure at the club since coming down in 2006. Mark’s most productive years as a footballer has been playing seniors football at the highest level in the EFL and a year in the VFL at the Coburg FC under Coach Andrew Collins.
Mark’s aspiration to coach at BHN took shape in 2007 after being appointed coach of the reserves but unfortunately was cut short for reasons we are all aware of. His love and passion for the club has grown immensely and very much looks forward to the challenge and building on the strong foundations laid before him.
The club would like to acknowledge the tremendous efforts of Peter Armstrong over the past seven years. No amount of words could do justice for his contributions over these years. At a time when no one wanted to know BHN and the club was on its knees, he along with a small group of dedicated, committed and passionate people sacrificed much to rebuild the club both on and off the field. The reward of all this work culminated in a finals appearance for his senior team in 2006.
We sincerely thank and extend our profound gratitude to Armie for everything he has achieved and the opportunities he helped to create for most of us for many years to come.
Over the coming weeks Mark and the executive committee will be working together to confirm the reserves and assistant coaches. Also we will inform the playing group of our plans for pre season training in the near future.
